Our Work
Seekon Community brings essential resources — education, healthcare, sustainable farming, and safe drinking water — to individuals and remote communities cut off by barriers like missing roads and bridges. Right now, our most urgent focus is the Seekon District, where a lack of shelter is keeping teachers, nurses, and other essential professionals from being assigned to serve the people who need them most.

A safe place to live means a teacher can finally take the post waiting for her, a nurse can stay long enough to build trust with the families she serves, and a community isolated for years gains the professionals it's been missing. Education is essential for development — but in remote villages, a lack of shelter means a lack of teachers. Many qualified teachers are willing to serve rural communities, but without safe, decent housing, they simply can't accept the assignment.

URGENT NEED: SHELTER FOR PELLOKON
In Pellokon, a remote village in Southeastern Liberia, teachers, nurses, and other development professionals have nowhere suitable to live — a barrier that keeps qualified people from serving the community that needs them most. Seekon Community has already broken ground on a ten-bedroom shelter to house these agents of change.
